Dear Young Water Professionals, Dear Colleagues in water sector,
I am sending my invitation to you from the picturesque town of Budapest occupying both banks of river Danube with around 80 geothermal springs and the worldís largest thermal water cave system. From the times of the Roman Empire the cohesion force of my hometown has been water inviting people to settle down and keep their family and household close to the springs of life. During its thousand-year-long history Hungary has had key role in connecting West and East, sometimes serving as a border fortress or an important bridge in other periods.
Water and life connect us to each other: we have similar interests, similar experiences, all coming from the water sector but all of us can paint a unique dash of colour and take part personally in shaping our future with creativity. Being young is not a virtue but a great opportunity. Particular chance for deploying our talents and skills, for taking advantage of our enthusiasm, for meeting each other and building up good co-operations, for learning, picking up knowledge and useful advice of wise senior professionals, and at last but not least for keeping ourselves young. My particular warm invitation is hereby addressed to the senior colleagues: your presence guides our attention and supports our motivation to fruitful future purposes.
Conferences are particular events for getting know each other, sharing experiences, multiplying our power and opportunity, helping each other to grow, renew and to retain ourselves youthful. The 9th IWA Eastern European YWPs Conference will be a great chance for seeing us again, meeting new people, sharing professional and personal experiences in sparkling atmosphere at Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
Water is all around there. Your colleagues will be there. What about you?
Come close to water, see you soon in Budapest!
